Privacy Policy

This page explains how LogicTC handles personal data across LogicTC School Management and LogicTC Notes. We aim to collect only what is needed to run the service well, protect school records, and support teachers with reliable tools.

Last updated: April 8, 2026

1. Our privacy approach

LogicTC builds tools for schools, administrators, and teachers. We take privacy seriously because education data is sensitive. We design our platform to use role-based access, audit trails, secure authentication, and practical safeguards so school records stay available to the right people and protected from the wrong ones.

2. Data we may collect

  • Account details: names, phone numbers, email addresses, school role, and login metadata.
  • School records: class lists, attendance, academic records, notes, staff details, and operational settings.
  • Payment data: transaction references, amounts, and wallet or credit activity related to platform top-ups.
  • Usage and security data: device, browser, IP, access logs, approvals, and audit history.
  • Lesson note inputs: selected curriculum values, lesson settings, and note-generation prompts needed to produce content.

3. Why we use this data

  • To create and manage school, staff, teacher, parent, and student accounts.
  • To run school workflows such as attendance, reporting, communication, finance, and lesson note approvals.
  • To generate lesson notes and related outputs inside LogicTC Notes.
  • To process payments, top-ups, receipts, and subscription actions.
  • To improve reliability, prevent abuse, and investigate support or security issues.

4. LogicTC Notes and AI-generated content

When you use AI-powered features such as lesson note generation, we process the curriculum selections and note inputs required to produce the requested output. We aim to send only the information needed for the feature to work. Schools and users should avoid placing unnecessary highly sensitive personal data inside free-text prompts.

5. Third-party providers

We use carefully selected service providers where needed to run the platform, for example:

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers to keep the platform online and secure.
  • Payment processors to handle online payments and top-ups.
  • SMS or email delivery providers to send school messages, alerts, and verification codes.
  • AI processing providers to power note generation and similar assistant features.

These providers receive only the data needed for their part of the service and are not permitted to use it for unrelated advertising or resale on our behalf.

6. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell school, staff, student, parent, or teacher data. We may disclose data only when necessary to:

  • deliver the service requested by the school or user;
  • comply with a legal obligation or valid regulatory request; or
  • protect the security, integrity, or rights of LogicTC, schools, and users.

7. Security and retention

  • Connections to the platform are protected with HTTPS and related transport security controls.
  • We use authentication, permissions, logging, and other technical safeguards to reduce unauthorized access.
  • Data is retained for as long as needed to provide the service, meet operational needs, and satisfy lawful record-keeping duties.
  • When an account or school relationship ends, data export and deletion are handled according to the applicable service arrangement and legal requirements.

8. School responsibilities

In many cases, the school or institution acts as the primary controller of its education records, while LogicTC operates as the technology provider. Schools are responsible for ensuring they have the proper authority to upload and manage the data they place on the platform.

9. Your rights

Depending on the nature of the account and applicable law, users may request access to their data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion where appropriate. Requests relating to school-held records should usually begin with the school administrator or institution that manages that account.

10. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as LogicTC grows, launches new features, or improves how data is handled. The latest version published on this page is the version that applies.

Important: LogicTC aims to align its practices with applicable Ghana data protection obligations, including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). This page is a practical summary of our current approach and should be read alongside any school-specific agreement or onboarding terms where applicable.
